It truly offers a unique day out and there is something for everyone! 26 acres of woodland walks and nature trails, mining history, ancient buildings, interactive displays, waterwheels, spectacular view of a modern working clay pit, lots for the children and much more! Twelve months free re-admission Did you know that when you pay the admission fee for the Something for the children... For young children there is the play area including a sand pit with ride on tractors, older children can enjoy the fantastic challenge trail and there are free activity sheets available for all. Children under 6 are admitted free and family saver tickets are available. In addition we are running 6 children’s activity days throughout the summer, the dates and details are set out below: Tuesday 27 July Dog treasure hunt - Children bring your family dog and help him or her to follow the clues around the site to win a prize. £3.00 per child, up to two accompanying adults admitted free of charge. At Wheal Martyn we have a dedicated conference room which can accomodate up to 40 delegates, is equiped with presentation equipment, has break out areas and we can provide a full range of catering options. In addition we can cater for evening functions, parties and corporate events within our cafe and exhibition area. Conference suite - for meetings, seminars and training
Close to the museum and within the grounds of two former clay works is the Wheal Martyn conference suite. The tranquil setting of the conference building provides a near perfect environment for relaxing and stimulating conferences, meetings and training events. Menus can be tailored to suit your needs, there is ample space for discos and free parking all making Wheal Martyn the perfect place for your special occasion. We can also accommodate Christmas meals and parties in the day or evening.
